How to do a 7-day spell

I was fascinated by these candles for so long but I was not really sure what to do with them. Then I learned about the 7 day spell. This type of spell has roots in Hoodoo but hey really can be as simple or complex as you want. There are three main ingredients for your basic spell:
your candle
herbs chosen based on the outcome you're working toward
oil also chosen based on the outcome you seek.
Using the herbs and oil your dress the candle. you can put some of the oil inside the candle and even rub it on the outside of the jar. You can do the same with the herbs. Be very careful when placing herbs inside your candle as it can be a fire hazard. Most of your herbs will be placed around the outside of your candle on the table or wherever you are doing your spell. Just a tip, you probably want to put your candle on a heatproof dish to prevent any damage to the table or scorching of the altar cloth.
That's the basics, After that, the world is open to you, get creative, you can create a shrine to the goal you're working toward. If it is success you seek, don't be afraid to clip pictures of a home you love, car, vacation, clothing. Anything you can do to set the image of you attaining your goal is good. Putting anything on your altar to remind yourself of that positive feeling of attaining that goal is even better.
I am a firm believer of reminding people of the saying "and it harm none, do what thou will". Tampering with free will is dabbling in the dark arts. Just throwing that out there. Better to keep your spells open ended, you can list all the things you are looking for in the love of your life, just don't put a name and face to them.
Ok, so where were we when I stumbled off the pat
h into the moral high ground? Oh yes, dressing your candle. Don't be afraid to write on it, decorate it, put your own personal touches on it, just remember to keep that positive picture in your head of attaining your goal. When you're done dressing your candle, you can prepare a ritual, or just light it and say a few words to your powers that be. Spend a little time thinking about your goal, meditate a little, visualize, do whatever it is you do to send energy toward your goal. Let your candle burn for a couple hours each day. When you extinguish it, NEVER blow it out, always snuff it out or place a plate or something over the glass to let it burn out naturally. Light and burn your candle for a few hours each day, repeating your energy building, visualization, speaking to your powers that be, etc. Do this until your candle is completely burnt out and will not relight. What is left over will tell you much about the success of your spell. See below:
Reading your spell
Everything about the way your candle burns can be read. If your candle burns fast, it means your spell is working well and is unhindered. If it takes longer than 7-8 day to finish, it might mean that there are obstacles or resistance that is causing a slow down in you reaching our goal.
After your candle has completely burnt out, what remains will tell you how successful your spell was.
You want to read the markings that remain behind. and the soot. To begin when you sit in front of your candle there are four sides:
The front - side closest to you - represents everything that is physical or tangible.
the back - the side that is farthest away. - represents everything mental and spiritual or non tangible.
The right - The right side of the candle is the past
The left - the left side of the candle is the future
When there are markings on the glass or even when the candle wick begins to gravitate towards can indicate how the candle spell is working or had worked.
Any markings on the left may indicate something about the past. For example, if soot is only on the left side of the candle, it may indicate that there’s a blockage from the past affecting the working or that it may be overcome.
Soot can commonly form on the glass candles – some practitioners believe this is due to the quality of the candle, while other practitioners read them as indicators of how the spell is working.
Generally, black soot can represent obstacles and blockages and white soot can represent positive help from spirits.
However, this depends on how far the soot goes down the length of the glass and how much soot is on the candle.
If the black soot is at the top, but doesn’t go to the bottom of the candle glass, then that means the obstacle or blockage was overcome.
If the black soot is all the way to the bottom of the candle (on any side of the candle), it can mean that the blockage wasn’t cleared.
The thicker the soot the bigger the obstacle
